Lacking Motivation

Well, I finished that last course - finally! I was done Wednesday night but had Remote Proctor problems. Now I have two whole weeks to do nothing before the capstone starts!!! Except I don't think I'll actually do nothing. I'll probably start researching multiple topics. It feels so good though to know all that stands between me and a Bachelors is one class!

But I wanted to add my experience.

I've been on computers since personal computers became a 'thing'. I've taken online classes since they also became a thing. I've literally worn out keyboards.

Not a humblebrag post, just setting the stage: I love computing, and learning, and being on line.

Last week or so, there have been entire days I haven't even turned the thing on. NEVER thought I'd see that day, and my family has noticed too. I blame college lol

After math, I took a solid month off from all learning. For me, college has been a struggle; like when I was a kid, sitting alone at the table, room dark, plate full of cold nasty (to me, then) food in front of me. It's brought back memories of struggling with homework I had no interest in, and didn't wannnnna do as a kid.

But now, here I am, a grownup, volunteering my time AND my money, to be here, to do something I'm finding I don't like. :ack:

Your story has impressed me though. That is a TON of stupid chapters and stupid section quizzes. A TON. So, maybe if you can keep putting your one foot in front of the other, so should I, no excuses, right?

I am having to improve my time management skills; for education I typically just sit down and buzz through it as much as possible in one sitting. I have concerns about trying to schedule a little bit a day, because it's easy for me to multitask and then deprioritize skool, and then there's the week - pew gone.

So, I immediately empathized with your situation, because sitting there and laying the wood to it is how I've worked. If I had more confidence in the college work flow experience(?) at the beginning, I might be a little further ahead, but not much.

Anyway, glad to hear you knocked it out!

Congrats! Good luck on the capstone! Hope everything goes smoothly for you. That one class is all you have to focus on....
It's great that you're pretty much in the clear and also so proactive in looking up possible topics to research for your capstone.
