Just signed up for StraighterLine A&P I&II and bought the book online
#1
Ok so I guess today I graduated from TESC with my BSBA CIS.
So now I can start working on my MBA and my second bachelors in natural science.
I just signed up for the straighterline A&P I&II classes and bought the book at coursemart.com.

I am also reading the biology CLEP REA book which should help me on the A&P class. I did very well on the business command accounting SL.com classes so hopefully I will do well on A&P.

I really love doing this stuff. CLEP, DSST, StraighterLine and Penn Foster are really enjoyable for me. Maybe I'm crazy but I do like it.

BTW NCU is similar to StraighterLine.com in that you have no proctored tests and its all online but much more expensive so don't do it for an undergrad where there are lower cost options.

Great idea! I don't know if it will help for A&P II but it definitely will help with A&P I. I took II last summer with no background knowledge and got an A. In April I took the Bio CLEP (using REA) and passed and it's helping me with A&P I now...Everything my professor is teaching in A&P I now I already learned for the Bio CLEP... I'm also taking a Bio class now which is an exact repetition of the CLEP so it's great that they all overlap.
Good luck!

Cool. The A&P book for Straigherline is Seeley's Anatomy and it is 1K pages long!
Is that the book you are using too?

No this is the book I used for A&P II last summer and also for A&P I this summer. It's the only book my professor lets us use and he gets his lecture tests from there too so that's good. It's not an online class- I'm taking it at Adelphi. Its also over 1k pages...

Its nice that your teacher gets the tests from the book. If I were teaching a class I would give people practice tests to start out with just like we get for CLEPs. That really helps students know where they stand in their learning.

I'm a little worried about this A&P class but its Straigherline so if I fail it I just don't transfer my credits!

I am almost finished reading the CLEP Biology book by REA and I finished reading the Natural Science book last weekend.

But I am almost certainly NOT going to read that 1K page book. I think I'll find a smaller book and read it cover to cover prior to beginning the class and see how I do by just skimming chapters and taking open book quizzes. Thats why I asked what book you were reading. I was hoping it was more concise.

I only read the book for homework and the book is for A&P I and II so it's not that bad.
Is SL proctored?
Why do you think you''ll fail? Be positive Smile

I won't fail and no its not proctored. Straighterline tests are open book, timed, unproctored and web based. I love SL.com classes because you can work them at your own pace. If you have a whole day to read chapters and take tests then you can finish a couple of chapters in a day. I finished Accounting I&II in a little over a week. I did study for the accounting CLEP for about two weeks prior to taking it though.

Hey I just bought a $10 Barrons A&P book on Amazon.com for my iPad and Kindle.
Amazon.com: EZ Anatomy and Physiology, 3rd Edition eBook: Barbara Krumhardt, Edward Alcamo: Kindle Store

I read a few pages and will read more tonight. I intend to finish this entire EZ A&P book and then take the quizzes and tests after skimming the chapters in the 1K page book.

Why are all SL courses so darn full of busy work.:ack: Even so, you are moving right along as usual and over a day's time no less! Let us know how it goes I might add it to my list of whynots. I'm taking SL medical terminology soon as a warm up for the CTM courses. Might be a good idea to add something else and use a 2fer promo coupon.

By the time you are finished with your comfort reading and these two courses you are going to score off the grid on your nat/sci CLEP.Wink
