Want a business degree. Starting from scratch. Between each of the big three and WGU, at this point which one gives me the best bang for my buck?

Wgu and tesu both have ACBSP accreditation for their business programs. COSC does not, but will tend to be a bit cheaper than TeSU. Excelsior tends to be a bit more expensive.

Wgu is a great value if you can transfer in a bunch of cheap courses and hammer out the rest of your degree in 1 term. If you don't have a lot of spare time to power through a wgu term, then 1 of the big 3 may be a better option that let's you spread it out over a year or more.

In terms of price: WGU is great if you can finish in 1 term, and good if you can finish in 2 terms, then COSC, then EC, then TESU.

Yes, between the new cornerstone and the residency waiver, TESU is the most expensive of the Big 3 (both for an AA and BA).

This assumes that everyone will be taking all courses for about $100/course, so the only difference between the costs in that respect is an extra $40 for the Study.com lab fee for Bio for COSC (which requires a lab science).  Otherwise, it's and apples-to-apples comparison - so if you take 10 free CLEP's for 1 degree, you could assume that you'd have that same cost savings at the other schools.

All still an excellent bargain for a BA degree - however, that is a big jump in total cost for TESU from even just a year ago.

Edit: Keep in mind of you do take the WGU route and transfer in some credits to complete in one term, they have stricter credit transfer rules. Such as they must all be transferred before enrolling (which is not the same as applying), and they do not take NCCRS credits like the Big3 do (which are becoming more plentiful, and are often well below the $100 estimate used here - NCCRS prices as low as $9 for a 3 credit courses through OD). The $100 course estimate is used to compare apples to apples - showing if all other things are equal.

How far you have fallen TESU. I think WGU is the best option for any US citizen right now followed by COSC.

If you also compare to WGU, it can either be the most cost-effective or least cost-effective, depending on how fast you finish and how many starting credits you have. Assuming you're starting from 0 credits, with the same $100 per 3-credits, you find alt. ed. courses or certifications that meet the WGU transfer guidelines, and that you transfer in the max of 90 credits, you're looking at the following if you complete the last 10 courses at WGU in a single term:

WGU - BA/BS $6,370 (1-term)

Completing 10 courses within 6 months should be doable for most people. However, if it takes more than 6-months to complete those 10 courses and you end up needing two terms (12-months), then WGU comes in as more expensive than TESU:

WGU - BA/BS $9,595 (2-terms)
