Well, I just wanted to share being happy, and I know all of you will appreciate it. Based on a grade I just got back (i'm in my last class) I am past the point of now return- no matter what grades I get in my remaining assignments, numerically I have passed! Wow! I will share write up something later, but this means that no matter what, I am graduating baby!
Happiness part 2, I decided on a grad program and have jumped through almost every hoop to get started, I'll be taking my first courses next month. Notice the nifty siggy update
I picked Western New Mexico University because a) price b) adjunct teaching options c) I'm tired of applying to other colleges.
I applied to 4 programs, and decided not to wait for the 2 other responses, but I have gotten in to everywhere I applied. For anyone interested, this is a very affordable master's program- the cheapest RA masters out there I think. It's also interdisciplinary, which can be a pro or a con depending on your needs. Since I am already set in my field degree-wise, this is just to add a few teaching options. The degree is made up of two 18 credit concentrations you select from a list. Mine will be English and Educational Technology. 18 grad credits in a single area is necessary to teach at my community college, so I'll be able to pick up a few sections outside of my department if the mood strikes. The cost is around $150 per credit, and fully online! It looks like I will have earned an entire associates degree, bachelor degree and masters degree for a grand total of $12,000 when all is said and done. My first associate degree alone was over $30,000
So, I'm happy today!

Congratulations!!! I currently go to Easter New Mexico University for my BAchelor's degree for many of the same reasons. It has worked out good for me so far, except I cannot test out of my last 9 classes.

Marshall,
"you guys with multiple degrees" is so not me... I'm just a cook who decided to take some CLEPs and kept going. You will too! Forgive the obvious, but if you don't stop, you will finish. Brilliant huh? hilarious
To everyone else-
I have to say, I was/am very inspired by this board, and only because of this board was I able to really use testing to my full advantage. Without the guidance here, it's all just a confusing maze- in here there is a clear lit path with many travelers. Here is good.
