Juggling the big 3 (degree plan/path) - bit long

How long does it typically take the Big 3 to complete a transcript review and update the Academic Evaluation? I am going insane waiting for updates. I feel a bit lost because I don't know if I am wasting time or money by doing/not doing something. :/

TESU takes about 1 to 3 weeks. I think the shorter times are mostly if you're nearer to graduation or the courses are already pre-evaluated. 

The courses that have already known equivalencies on this forum are pretty safe.

For TESU it's supposedly 20 business days from when they receive the transcript...a month basically, sometimes a little more.

I'm a bit upset and confused at the moment. I sent TESU my ACE transcript and they applied all 3 Straighterline courses (9 credits total), and nothing else. My notes say this is the final (2/2) eval prior to official enrollment.

They didn't apply any Shmoop, Ethics, nothing. I even tried running an alternative BA program in the Academic Evaluator, and they still only have 9 credits from ACE applied.

Can anyone figure out why this might be? I am afraid to enroll only to find out they aren't awarding transfer credits anymore.

Gasp.... Oh no! You are in for a treat...patience is a virtue, they do things strangely, batches at a time, just wait for it to post or update. Keep plugging at the other courses and transfer a set or more in... you’ll be fine as long as it’s in your ACE. It will transfer.

Here's my TESU initial evaluation. I have completed 6 credits in the mean time through SL (US History I, Environmental Science), and have registered for 8 via Ocean Community College. Anyone interested in helping me out with a path/plan going forward so I don't duplicate credits or mess up somehow?

1) Your PLA most likely would move everything into the "FREE Electives" field as those are not general education or Liberal Arts courses. I suggest to finish off the "Free courses" as you may be missing one of the TEEX and NFA courses (used as free electives).

2) Download a BALS template from dfrecore, or you can use the one I have that's customized for Shmoop/SL/Study.com (English Lit Minor). Place all your credits into the spots and update the spreadsheet for reference/tracking progress purposes.

GEOG2 Elements of Cultural Geography 12/15/17 A 3.00 GOG-100 Ask if this can be moved to the Diversity requirement.

CIS-344 Computer Security 02/03/18 CR 2.00 CIS-344 I would move this to Section D unless you're taking a 4cr UL course that will go into the AOS - being short a credit is not helpful in this instance.

I am currently registered for: General Biology 1+Lab (4 LL) and General Chemistry 1+Lab (4 LL) at Ocean beginning 3/26.

I have: English Composition I, Introduction to Religion, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Sociology, United States History II, Western Civilization I, Western Civilization II, and Introduction to Philosophy in my cart at SL waiting for tomorrow to register. Any you see in here I should drop or pick up?

My last TEEX, and 2 SL, and a Physical Education credit are on my ACE. I am waiting to add a few more to it before I spend the $15 and send it in again.

TESU emailed me this morning and said someone dropped the ball on my transcripts - and didn't enter things correctly. They said they've got it all figured out now and should be done soon.

I just emailed them regarding the switching of classes based on your recommendations. I have one left, and for some reason I am blanking on this, what is AOS again?

Did you take Intro to Statistics at SL or register for it? If you have, continue on, if not, I suggest the Business Stats instead. I would recommend taking Business Communications over Philosophy. It comes in as Upper-Level Liberal Arts and the Philosophy final is 50% of the grade. You should consider taking more Shmoop or SL courses if you have a membership, if not then focus on whichever membership you currently have active. Update: AOS = Area of Study (Concentration or Minor)
