My HS son has one more history DSST to knock off: Western Europe since 1945. I can't blame him for being tired of reading 600-page history books so I was looking for something different.
Anyone know of a free online class/ set of videos/ netflix movies/ novels, etc that would add the fun back into learning this subject? I'd like to keep Instantcert for after he has done some learning on the subject.
Thanks,

I don't think it's possible to make that test fun. :p It's important to know the political structures (at their equivalent of national/state/county levels) of Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, and (to a much lesser extent) Spain/Portugal. And he has to know what the EU divisions are and what they do. There's also a lot about postwar macroeconomic theories. Sounds like a thrill, eh?
The only enjoyable study method that comes to mind is watching the wonderful BBC comedy series
Yes Minister and its followup
Yes Prime Minister to get a grasp of how the British political system works. Netflix has both series.

Thanks,
Unfortunately, I don't know of any very fun study sources for this topic. I will say, though, IC was absolutely amazing for this test. It's the new version, which I find more interesting and easier than the old ones, and I spent 3-4 studying for this exam. So you may want to give IC a try a little earlier on.

Maybe "fun" is too strong of a word ... how about just Interesting
The Netflix suggestions should be enjoyable and I just may pop him onto the Instantcert cards sooner rather than later. Thanks for the suggestions.
