The two attorneys and the judge I work with all have an MBA in addition to their law degrees. The Judge was telling me over lunch yesterday that he had to go all the way to the dean to get exempted from having to take the GRE/GMAT as well as having the calculus requirement waived. I am not sure if having an MBA has helped them at all, but you can not argue that it doesn't strengthen your resume' when you are applying for positions as an attorney.
Congrats on your impending graduation...... By the way, in Texas some of the paralegal studies programs are all turning towards graduate programs now, leading to the awarding of a masters degree. the University of Texas at Austin and Texas State University are two of them that come to mind.
It is 30 credit hours at $285.50 per credit hour - $8,565.00 and I'm estimating another $1,500.00 or so for books. I just have to pass the statistics DSST and the GRE or GMAT and apply. I'm really looking forward to it.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

For all of you going through SEMO, please keep us (really me lol) in the loop; I'm seeing myself done with my BSBA by the end of the year, although I also need to knock out MIS and Calculus exams as prerequisites, and I'd like to get started in this MBA program by next year.

I have already taken the Principals of Management exam for my bachelors degree, so I'm good with that requirement. I will also have to take the business statistics DSST exam (will they accept the DSST exam as having met the requirement?) Not sure which way to go whether its study for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT. Taking the LSAT might be cool in case I decide to switch gears and apply for law school (doubtful - but one never knows) Any advise?
It will be a year or so from now before I am ready to apply, I wanna complete Air Command and Staff College first as well as save up tuition money, I have to pay out of pocket since I flat refuse to use any student loans. I'm trying to prove to my sisters and their kids that going to college at all levels of the education process does not require taking on large amounts of debt.
I am really excited by this degree plan, seems very doable for the exception of the Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods course as part of the degree plan.....seems like a class I will likely struggle with. The price makes it extremely competitive with any other program I have seen, as most of the others are several thousand dollars more expensive.
Please keep me updated with how this program unfolds, I hope to be able to enroll fall of 2015, depending on finances (and the wife's blessing) of course....

When I emailed them, they said the principles of management DSST and the statistics DSST would meet the prerequisites. I purchased The Idiot's Guide to Statistics and will be using Khan Academy, Education-Portal (which is not completely developed), as well as MIT's open course ware in statistics. I'm giving myself 60 days to learn what I need to know to pass the DSST. I'm then going to take either the GMAT or GRE within the following two months. I want my application out to SEMO before October 1, 2014. We'll see. LOL
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

I wonder if I'll feel like attending commencement next May (since I won't be graduating until August 31). I'll probably watch the COSC commencement via their live feed just to celebrate with you guys - even though I'll have no clue who you are. LOL

Hey Soliloquy, we'll give you a shout out as we are passing the stage.....ok, maybe not really. Look for the really cool guy who lets everyone know he's from Texas and you'll see me...lol. (my wife is rolling her eyes at me now, I can feel it!
Go to commencement, you earned it. You could have technically attended this graduation even though you are only a few credits shy.
