I might be interest in taking straighterlin's accounting courses, but I need to know if I transfer the credits to TESC if they will be considered regionally accredited? I need a degree from a regionally accredited school in order to sit for the CPA exam one day. Does it matter that I took the accounting credits from straighterline(which isn't regionally accredited) but transfered them to TESC(which is) Anybody know?

No, Straighterline is not regionally accredited because they are not a college (only colleges can be RA). They have created classes that TESC recognizes as credible thus accepts them for credit towards a TESC degree.
Also, if you transfer in SL credit to TESC it will come in as pass/fail and NOT a grade *I think I remember reading that certain accounting courses for CPA candidates had to be graded instead of pass/fail? I'm not up on this, but you should.
Attending a RA college does not launder transfer credit into RA credit. Your DEGREE will be RA, but credits never CHANG into something other than what they were at the time you took them. This concept is important because it permeates into other FAQ on this site. Anyway....
I know there are a few threads here regarding CPA exams and how to prepare without falling into trouble- be sure to check them out and proceed carefully so you don't have to re-take credit later.

I'm not an expert, but I think CPA requirements vary from state to state. In some states, you may need a degree from a regionally accredited college while in other states you may need X regionally accredited credits in a certain area.
You should carefully check the CPA requirements in your state and work backwards.
Crappy answer, but it's the truth

This is EXACTLY the right answer. There are a few career paths that require careful planning, and while not accounting specifically- those who wish to earn CPA must be among the careful planners

Yes, work backwards!
