I used the Instant Cert flashcards. I know that sounds a little condescending. People might sometimes get sidetracked with all the supplements and notes and peterson tests. I used the instant cert cards. The explanations for this one aren't that long. Looks some stuff up at wikipedia and any psychology background may help with some questions. Plus if you have ever been religous or are right now, you will have a leg up on your material.
Use the cards. Then Use them some more. Then use other supplements if you like. Also on the test be realistic about religions. Know differences between taoist language and confuciounism. Search exam threads. There are people trying to share the tips they used. And dont go through and change to many answers. This is the kind of test where you answer and attack the next question.
