I would say yes, but since I'm paranoid all the time, I always use additional resources. I would suggest that you check out the "Specific Exam Feedback Section" on this site and read what others have said about the exam. It is a great source of information and insight.

I used IC, the Standard Deviants Guide to Psychology, and Psychology the Easy Way by Barron's. Passed the exam with a 66.

So to answer your question, yes I think IC would be sufficient but I believe using other resources (including Wikipedia) helps you process all the information together more solidly.

***Side Note*** I don't know if you're gonna wind up needing these exams for your degree requirements but if you are I suggest you take the Educational Psychology CLEP and the Human Growth & Development CLEP right after the Introductory Psychology CLEP-- and in that order. There is alot of overlap between these 3 exams. Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

Good Luck on your exam....even though you won't need it!!!

Peace be with you always.

From the main category page it is on the bottom of the list and I think you have to be signed on to see it.

i took the Intro to Psychology clep yesterday.
For me, it was not that straight forward. I used IC, REA and Thomson for study, and felt comfortable going in. However, about halfway through the test i starting wondering when i was going to get questions that i actually knew the answers.
Anyway, bottomline is that i passed with a 66. However, just before my score was splashed on the screen i was hoping to see a 52 or something - that how tough it was. There were no questions on Freud i can remember, confusing questions on Maslow and Erkisson. Lots of questions on testing and statistics.
My head hurt after this clep unlike any other clep.
Could it be that i got a new experimental test version? Thats kinda what it felt like.
My point is dont take it too lightly even though the rumor is that this is an "easy" clep.
Study.

clepsy.

In my opinion yes...BUT it all depends. Everybody tests differently. Check out the specific exam feedback to see what others think of the test and also do a search of the forum
