Well I'm taking this test on Saturday. I took two of the petersons tests for the CLEP Info Sys and got a59 on both. I'm going to take the last one tomorrow night. I also took the DSST practice exam and got an 82.
Do you guys think I'm ready? I'm really nervous. On the petersons practice test it's out of 100 questions so based on that I got only 59%. That doesn't sound like a pass to me. Should I be worried?

Honestly I took the exam COLD, as cold as you can possibly be and passed with a good score, judging by your "certs" in IT you will have no issues.

You'll do great I'm sure. That background of computer courses will do wonders, I wouldn't be surprised if you got a really high score.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Thanks I hope so. The petersons tests I hope are alot harder. I'll post back on this thread and then on specific exam feedback the results. i just feel the scores were so low! Can learn the world in 24 hours. haha

The CLEP is harder, so it makes sense that its practice tests are harder too. I got just about what you got on the Petersons PT, and didn't do much more study before passing the test with 423. So I think you're ready to go!

How long before I get the official you passed email? Also how long does it take for TESC to get it?

Congrats!
Well you get instant notification and a score report right after you finish the test, which you can print out at the testing center. I never got another confirmation email :confused: And it takes TESC some time to process your score and add it to your Eval...several weeks

Someone asked me to post some more info here.... I'll admit I didn't study as mush as I should've but I did use the instantcert flash cards and the petersons tests. Believe it or not it had alot of programming questions which I am not that familiar with but some were common sense so it wasn't that bad. First twenty questions or so were easy. Then got a little more difficult. Took me about an hour. I marked a few questions for review but didn't go back and review. They did ask a question on sarbanes oxley which I'm glad someone else on here said that so I knew the answer. But for the most part a relatively easy exam. Let me tell you, hitting that finish test/send button is stressful. LOL But all good.
This was my first CBE so I can't compare to anything else.
