I read somewhere that they're going to change the English Comp with Essay CLEP to a College Composition CLEP, and the English Comp, and Freshman College Comp CLEPs to a College Composition Modular CLEP. How will this change things? I was going to take the English Comp with Essay CLEP this week or next week, but I'm not registered with a college yet. I wanted to do that last minute. If I go on and take the English Comp w/ Essay CLEP will it still count when I do go on and send everything to the college I choose. I'm planning on TESC at the moment.

No one can answer that question but the school itself I think. I know that whatever policies are when you enroll, that's what will apply to you so you may want to ask them what their policies are/will be after the change. If you are lucky you will get a definitive answer but I have found that until you're registered it's not easy to get those. Good luck!

The short answer - Contact the college you were looking at...
The long answer - You are *probably* fine. CLEP scores are good for 20 years, so schools that accept the CLEP will probably continue to accept the older version. A few schools I've seen have a list of acceptable CLEPs with the notation that 'If the test was taken before this date'... Such as
Principles of Accounting - 50 - ACCT 2213 & 2223
(if taken 06/07 or before)
Exam will no longer exist after June 2007
So they *should* accept it. There's too many people out there that have already taken the test that would be pulling out the pitchforks and torches if their test credit was rendered null by the change.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully
