I'm shopping for textbooks and have come upon some new and rather conflicting information. I'm finding brand new books that are "international editions" that are much cheaper than the US editions. The sellers say they have the same content as a US edition, but I have read other opinions that say they're garbage.
Does anyone know anything about this? I want to save money (of course), but I don't want to spend money foolishly on something that isn't going to be worth it.

I have only tried it once with a grad course at CCU. I'm not sure if it was the course being difficult in general (Assessment Techniques in Psychology) or if the international edition didn't match up well enough to my CCU study guide, but it was not a good experience.
On the other hand, I know of a guy on another forum finishing an MBA at Aspen University and he uses international editions exclusively without any problems.

I've never had a problem with an international edition. I have bought maybe 3 or 4 different books. What I really enjoy is the teacher's edition. All the answers! Especially if you get a sh*tty teacher and may need to teach yourself.

Ok
Thanks for the replies! I think I will go ahead and try it on one and see how it goes. I've found all 4 textbooks I needed on a variety of online book sites for less than the cost of 1 book! Gee, wish I had thought of this when I went to Boise State. Dropped about $800 on a semester's worth of books.

I used the international version for my Business Strategy text with no problems at all. I'm sure there is some way of finding out which books are the same and which have major differences, but I don't know what it is.

Ive used International Ver. as well, its the same exact thing most of the time, but in my experience the pages were a little thinner then normal. But same thing, and cant beat the price!

I bought an International book for my Business class ($52.00) I compared the two side by side (US Made ($135) vs. International version)
They were (are) the same, word for word.

I used an international edition for my Organizational Behavior course at ECE. It worked out perfectly.
I have recently purchased the international student edition of the textbook for my first grad course Bus. Ethics at AJU.
I saved my self around $100 by going this route.
