Anyone else think this would be a favorable thing for IC to create?
There are times where I don't have my study material with me and I have time to kill,
Even though I can search the forums through my browser I thought it would be interesting for IC to have an iPhone app to where I can have a set of flashcards readily available to read.
Just curious what your thoughts are on this or if it has crossed anyone else's mind?

Android too.
The problem with instantcert is that the questions are not multiple choice. The actual tests are multiple choice so you don't get the same feel. Also, on a mobile phone you'd rather not have to type for each question.

I think it would a good idea. I just got an iPhone 4S and have been really enjoying trying out different apps. It would be great if IC had one.

Maybe with the app, they could do away with the need to fill in the blanks. Users can just fill it in mentally and press a button to see the answer. I never fill in the blanks anyway since the program is so picky. I vote for Android too! I have an Android device and no Apple products.

Another vote in favor. I like the previous poster's idea about having flashcards with just a blank that you dont actually fill in. Would be a huge time saver! My only gripe with IC is that it gets frustrating having my answers marked wrong for using a synonym for the correct answer (assuming the answer isnt subject-specific vocab) Makes it harder to figure out where I'm at percentage wise.

There is another test provider like instantcert that allows synonyms for the answers. Instantcert should do the same.

A great iphone app I found was brainscape. You can download it free and type up your own flash cards. As you go through the flash cards you rate how well you know the material on a scale of 1-5z. The higher you rate it the less it shows you that flash card. The lower you rate it, it shows you that flash card more frequently. I started using it for Spanish this semester. I'm going to start using it for all my subjects.
Cleps Passed:
Information Systems & Computer Applications - 64
Spanish - 58
Analyzing & Interpreting Lit - 71
Principles of Macroeconomics - 53
Principles of Microeconomics - 61
Introductory Sociology - 54
Calculus - 51
Biology - 67

Ok, I have to admit I clicked "In Favor" thinking "I wonder how many are NOT in favor"? That was why I clicked it, just to see. I was right!! Who wouldn't want an app?
So my vote is for an iPhone app.
I second the motion on ........................allowing for synonyms on non specific flashcards.

Me, myself, and I thinks that if anyone is to hit "Not in Favor" then it's likely because they're not thinking, dislike all things IC/CLEP/etc, or would be the one that may have to make it. Outside of that, I think something like this would be a huge success and a great additional resource!
