Instantcert Credit has six courses at the moment and they have been reviewed by ACE. I took American Gov. and Financial Accounting through them this month. I recommend them. Each month you can take two courses for 59$ total. Its an amazing good value and then transferred to TESU without any issues. PM me if you want a discount code for 10% off the first month. I'm renewing my subscription for another month so I can take Astronomy and Earth Sci.
Current Course(s): Business Administration Capstone BUS-421 (TESU)

AMU (9); CSM (3); CLEP (15); DSST (3); InstantCert (15); Institutes (3)Military (51); Sophia (6); Straighterline (15); Study.com (6); Thomas Edison State University (3); University of Alaska (12)

Seems like you are using TESU - just a heads up that they require 16 credits through them or you pay a $3000 fee.

That’s true and worth taking into consideration. That said, I don’t know if I want to take a bunch of TECEP’s for classes I don’t need in order to avoid the residency waiver. I have Tuition Assistance but it only covers 4 classes from TESU per year so it’s not worth waiting to use TA to cover the classes I have not yet tested out of.

They are the TESU version of CLEP’s. There are some overlaps with other sources of alternate credit.

So TESU will count that as credits taken through them?

Yep!  They typically cost $150 for a lower-level course.

I just asked my advisor this question - he said: "TECEP exams do not count towards the 16 credits needed to avoid the Credit Hour Residency waiver fee though". Thought this may be helpful.

Your original question was "will they count as credits taken through them" and the answer is yes - BUT they will not count towards the residency requirements.  That's a totally different question.  They stopped accepting TECEP exams as residency credits years ago (I was on the 2014/15 catalog and they counted back then).
