Info Lit Equivalency course at De Anza College

For those of you that are attending Excelsior College and still need to take Information Literacy, there is an alternative to the the course.

Per the EC counselor, you can take LCEN 50 & LCEN 53 at De Anza College. Both are one unit courses and both are offered online. Cost is $24 per unit plus whatever liberal mandated school fees from Sacramento. hilarious

Still beats the overpriced 1 unit directly from EC.

No doubt. De Anza College uses the quarter hour system, so 2 units would transfer as 1.33 semester hours. This deal really only makes sense for California residents. Out of state tuition costs would make this inpractical compared to Penn Foster or LSU.

If you are a California resident, I would check with EC to see if they accept LIBR 101: College Research Skills from Mira Costa College. It would be only 1 semester unit at $36 (compared to $48 for 2 quarter units). It is also available online.
