I am considering enrolling in a program offered by the Indian Institute of Skill Development Training (IISDT), and I would appreciate informed opinions before making a decision.
To clarify from the outset: I am fully aware that IISDT is not a university and does not hold government-recognized higher education accreditation. I am not seeking degree equivalence, UGC recognition, or any formal academic validation. I also understand the general nature and reputation of private accrediting bodies such as QAHE, so that aspect is not the focus of my question.

My interest lies specifically in non-regulated fields such as yoga and meditation, where formal state accreditation is often not required and many legitimate training pathways operate privately. In these domains, credibility is typically based more on teacher quality, lineage, curriculum depth, and practical competence than on formal academic status.
But I feel like perception still matters.
What I am trying to assess is the reputational dimension. In particular:
• How is IISDT generally perceived within yoga, meditation, or holistic professional circles?
• Would listing an IISDT certification in yoga or meditation on a CV or professional profile be considered neutral, positive, or potentially counterproductive?
• Is IISDT viewed as a legitimate private training provider, even if not formally accredited, or does it carry a reputation that could be considered questionable or “sketchy”?
• Has anyone here encountered IISDT credentials in real professional settings, and if so, how were they regarded?
I am not trying to substitute formal academic credentials. I am simply exploring additional training in yoga and meditation and want to ensure that obtaining a certification from IISDT would not inadvertently harm professional credibility.
In short, I am less concerned about formal recognition and more concerned about practical reputation.
Any candid opinions, technical insight, or first-hand experience would be greatly appreciated.
