I'm sorry if this is redundant. I have pretty much given up looking for an answer in the discussion forums although I know someone has the answer. I start INL 102 Information Literacy on monday and the only information I can find out about this class seems to be on the Excelsior website. On the InstantCert discussion boards all I seem to find is advice saying, "go to Penn Foster instead." and the like. Well I'm not going to, I'm doing Excelsior's version starting on Monday and I just need a good head's up so I can be the "best student" and the "first done student." Any help will be appreciated.

The company I work for doesn't pay for tests so I have paid for the nineteen tests that I've taken so far. They will pay for classes, no matter how much the classes cost. So I am "taking" a class for the change of pace and it's being paid for by someone else.

You're welcome! I hope it helps.
I also have a favorite way to search the forum, which I posted here:

The material is easy. You have to put X amount of hours into it in order to ensure an "A" but this is a class that should be passed by everyone who hopes to finish a bachelor's. In the same breath then it's worth going over the material until you know you'll get an A because this is a gimme A for anyone who puts in the time like NAP talked about in his link. If you never "seriously" look up stuff on search engines then this might be a lot of new material. If you already know all about Boolean operators in searches and stuff like "just because a website exists doesn't mean it's trustworthy, unlike a textbook" then you can get the whole class done in a long weekend.

I find that only Primary Sources are trustworthy, textbooks are suspect, and an Internet search is a crap shoot. I'm looking forward to nailing this class and having fun doing it. Thanks for your insight!

I've now gone through all of the material and completed the five module quizes...and it's still the first day of class. When I get to work tomorrow, I will start working my way through all of the embedded videos in the course before & after work, during breaks, and at lunch until I have seen them all. I can't watch videos at home because I'm on dial-up. Then, after I go through the basic part of the course a second time I will take the test.

I was going to review all of the material after viewing the videos, but decided to just take the test after getting home. I missed 6, Passed. Started the course on Monday, finished on Tuesday. I wouldn't say it was too difficult and a student could put a lot of work into it for the full experience, but I just nailed it and moved on.
