I took my first CLEP today...
#1
After skipping through those tutorials that tell you how to use a mouse, I finally got to test. American History II. It sort of took me by surprise: suddenly the first question was there. The only event worth reporting is when my testing computer froze somewhere around the 56 minute-point. The proctor moved me to another computer and I was set to go again.

They certainly give you a lot of time to do the test! I had 40 minutes left after the first run through. After reviewing my "marked" questions, 30 minutes remained, after going through all of them again, 13 minutes remained. I decided to call it a day. After holding my breath for a moment, I clicked on the "view score" button, and I got a 64. Not too bad, I suppose. Rolleyes

Hopefully I can take another in July - one that doesn't ask me about things like the Smoot-Hawley tariffs! Big Grin Good old Smoot-Hawley...

I'm 17, and rejoicing that I just spent $15 to get 3 college credits that otherwise would have cost as much as $1000.

Doesn't that feel really good! Every time I pass I think of all the money and time I have saved... leaves me on cloud nine the rest of the day! Congratulations!

Thanks all! I'm pretty pumped about getting college credit without going through all of the loops.

As for the next test, it will probably be US History I, which is easier than II from what I hear. Not to mention I know more about it right off the bat and there are fewer acts to memorize! And less social reform...

Beyond that...we shall see, won't we?

Congratulations Ruddigore on your fantastic pass. You must be so proud of yourself.

I think the awesome thing about this is your age. It's so nice to see young people get excited about their education. I wish I'd known about CLEP when I was 17!!! Then I wouldn't owe Sallie Mae $10 grand!!!hilarious

It looks like you won't be falling into that boat though. Congratulations again and keep em' comin.
