I reallly need some advice! (please!)
#1
I finished taking all of the exams I need to graduate this December (YAY!) but I am still short one class for the nursing program I am starting in January. I have already overloaded my schedule with Fall with mandatory classes/practicum needed for my undergrad degree (19 credits in all).

BUT, I need to take a nutrition class offered by a Biology department (credit by examination is not permitted either :madSmile and pass with a "B" or better. Someone on the boards recommended Clovis Comm Coll. but they aren't offering the nutrition class I need. So, I am thinking that TESC might be the answer, they have BIO-208 listed as available this summer. But I have no idea what to make of the options they have listed:

e-pack?
guided study?
flash track study?

I read the descriptions but I am still lost... I am looking for something that I can take this summer in conjunction with the other 18 credits I have going on - that doesn't require a lot of "message boarding" with other students.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a self-paced class... please, please post a link. I can't start the nursing program without completing the nutrition class Sad
Thanks!

Thanks for the info Peace123! I called the admissions office this morning and unfortunately they don't accept Penn & Foster's class. But they do accept the correspondence class from Arkansas State!

Even if it is an ACE reviewed course ? Would they take it on an ACE transcript ?

Or do they not accept it because it does not cover the topics they are looking for ?

They claim it doesn't cover the topics they're looking for... they want one offered by a biology department that is equal than the one they offer.

You can't use TESC's nutrition if they don't allow exam credit. It is biology 210, but it's a pass/fail test and you won't get a grade.

Also, for some reason, the TECEP exams (including nutrition) are currently in suspension until further notice.

Go to the allnurses board and look in the pre-nursing folder. Tons of nutrition class options.

Congrats on being so close!!

Does anyone know if ECE College takes this exam as upper level credit? I'm thinking of taking it for the ethics requirement for their BSN degree, but I'm not sure if they consider it upper level. I'm currently just taking a few test before I apply for admission, so I can't ask them. ;-)
Thanks for your help!
