Well I guess I've come up against that famous TESC customer service. I was told that "Before qualifying for any of the benefits of the Adults Back to College program, you would need to be accepted into the program" but the only person who can review my application will be out of the office until September 13th.
Of course there is no mention of this process when you apply, their own website says just apply and choose the adults back to college program and your application fee will be waived. Unfortunately I assumed that they wouldn't accept me into their school or waive the $75 fee if I didn't qualify for or was not accepted into the program.
Since registration is over Sept. 14 I don't see myself getting the assistance I need for the first semester.
I should just be grateful that I got the $75 fee waiver.

You could always apply now and choose the Adults Back to College option. If, for some reason you don't qualify, They'll just bill you the $75 later. That's the way I did it back in April

Yes, I've already applied, been accepted, enrolled and registered for October. I just wrongfully assumed that applying and being accepted and enrolled meant that they accepted me into the back to college program. If they bill me $75 later I think I will not take it kindly. Community college is much cheaper, the only advantage TESC had for me was I'd already attended before and they accept Aleks.

I'm not sure if many people are aware as I have not seen any posts on the subject recently, but Thomas Edison State College has a program for adults going back to college where they waive the $75 application fee as well as offer a couple of other financial incentives upon enrolling.
When completing the online application, on page 8, under Partner Affiliation, please select ADULT BACK TO COLLEGE-COMEBACK in the drop down box.
Sadly this " ADULT BACK TO COLLEGE-COMEBACK " is no longer an option. Would have been great to waive that $75 app fee.

:iagree: sometimes I like to try things to see if it still exists or works, rules change, but there's always a chance that there may be exceptions... I wouldn't mind getting $75 voucher/waiver if it worked...
