I'm done! Thank you to everyone!!!
#1
Some of you might have read my post yesterday about finishing my final exam and reaching my goal by one point. I just wanted to sincerely thank everyone on this board for all of your support! Nine months ago I decided to try law school, where I didn't need a bachelor's degree. After hating the subject, I basically was at an all-time pessimism. I just saw no way to every finish my degree... any degree. Finishing my bachelor's degree seemed like a very distant dream, as I believed it would take 2-3 more years and might not be possible with an upcoming wedding and job responsibilities. After the wedding I decided to come back onto this site, which I had briefly visited during my law studies. At the time I only had around 50 credits. It's four months later, and I'm so grateful to everyone who posts here, not for any personal benefit, but just to help others. This forum is truly one of the most valuable resources on the internet, period. It's simply a mathematical miracle when you compare the cost of a $20 membership to the enormous costs of tuition and textbooks.

To anyone who is starting out and feels overwhelmed, just take a deep breath and remember, one exam at a time, one question at a time. You'll be very surprised at just how much potential you have; you'll shock and awe people around you if you just use InstantCert and the incredible people on this website. Seriously, this forum contains an all-star team, the best online degree seekers that exist. For virtually any question or problem, there are always answers.

So, my final tally in roughly four months. I am job-challenged right now, so I also had the benefit of studying very, very often.

CLEP (30 credits):
Humanities (76)
American Literature (72)
English Literature (71)
English Composition (68)
Social Sciences and History (63)

DSST (33 credits):
Western Europe Since 1945 (67/A)
The Civil War and Reconstruction (66/A)
Astronomy (65/A)
Introduction to Law Enforcement (65/A)
Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union (65/A)
Technical Writing (65/A)
Environment and Humanity (64/A)
Introduction to World Religions (476)
Introduction to Computing (463)
Substance Abuse (463)
Criminal Justice (455)

Other (13):
ALEKS- Business Statistics (PASS)
Excelsior College Exam- World Populations (A)
Penn Foster- Information Literacy (A)
Straighterline- English Composition I (PASS)
Straighterline- Economics I (PASS)

Total: 76 credits + Brick/Mortar = 121

B.S. Liberal Studies, Excelsior College (Area of Focus: Literature in English), magna cum laude

Also, I made sure to tell a Washington Post reporter about our website. He interviewed me for an article about Straighterline. I sent him the link and told him that there are tons of great stories here. He works for the "Education" section. Here is a link to the article, which was published today... he gives me a blurb in the last two paragraphs.
