One person on this forum was unable to pass SDC's Discrete Math. Most students are able to at least get the required number of points for a pass, though.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming

Look at that thread again.  He did score high enough on the final exam to pass the course.

However, on the quizzes, he let his score go below 100%, giving away his points and leading to a technical fail.

I got 80/100 on the SDC´s Discrete Math. I studied for 3 days, 6 hours per day.

But those were 3 additional days, after all the quizzes were done.

Ya, this is coming from someone who eats Saylor exams for breakfast.

One good thing about the course is that if you don't understand one concept, you can move on to the next one and come back to it later since most of the concepts don't build on top of one another.

So is SDC's Discrete Math easier than WGU's? It sounds like it is, or at least broken up in to smaller pieces, which would be be better for me.

LOL, yeah. I probably wouldn't be able to complete it in roughly 24 hours or less, maybe 3 times that at 72 hours split into a couple weeks and going at my casual pace. For those who have issues with math like me, I would recommend taking it slow and try to grasp concepts, complete things 'your' way and at a comfy pace.

It really depends on the student, I would think Study.com classes would be better and easier for transfer to any institution as long as they're transferable. I would usually recommend taking classes at institutions for residency requirements or for classes that can't be transferred in using alternative credit options...

I'm talking about taking a class at SDC because I couldn't pass the class at WGU.

Yes, I would recommend trying the Study.com class and see how that goes...

Do you know if SDC Math 108 covers D421 in addition to D420?  I have not been able to confirm Math 108 would satisfy both Discrete Math classes.

No, if you were a computer science major, you would have to take Discrete Math 2 at WGU. For some people, this takes a month to finish.
