My college life has been a total mess, I can't believe the road I went down, let me explain quickly.
Freshmen: Georgia State University
Sophmore: Northwood University
Junior/Senior: Georgia Gwinnett College
I'm a senior right now and am definitely not going to graduate. Since I went to 3 different colleges my credits are a total mess. Some came through, most didn't, and now I feel so lost.
I just want to graduate as fast as humanly possible. If I stay at my current school, I'm looking at 1.5-2.0 more years (insane).
Is there a school that will accept the majority of my credits from all 3 schools and let me graduate ASAP? I have done the work, it's just not showing up in 'transfer credits' because the 3 schools above are so different.
I feel so lost, I just want to graduate, what should I do?
PS: I'm up to do CLEP/DSST or whatever kind of testing I have to take. Also open to online stuff. Most important thing is to graduate quickly.
PPS: I'm going for a Bachelors in Business (marketing concentration) at the moment.

Have you looked in to TESC Excelsior or Charter Oaks? They are the big three for online degrees. If your credits are not all overlapping they may give you the credits from the 3 colleges you have attended. I am not a business major but I believe all 3 have business degrees. Depending on how much time you are willing to put into it you could have a degree from one of the above in as little as 6 months.
Good Luck and don't give up.

:iagree:
TESC has a BSBA with Marketing concentration. Degree Program: Marketing, BSBA - Thomas Edison State College - acalog ACMSâ„¢
The application fee is $75, you have your transcripts sent for evaluation to find out what you would need to finish. Sounds like your are about there already. BSBA degrees at TESC require trigonometry or precalc and statistics (which you most likely already have) and the business policy capstone.
Good luck! I'm sure one of the Big 3 will meet your needs.

As Linda, Cook and I are all TESC grads...please choose one to PM with so we are not duplicating efforts and wasting anyone's time.

Excelsior has a BS in Business with a concentration in Marketing

COSC has either a BS or BA with concentration in business administration. (You can check posts by burbuja0512 for insight into this degree. She has a degree map attached to her signature.)

I'm here
I'm happy to answer any questions about COSC. Without knowing your situation or credits, here is some advice.
If you have a LOT of biz credits already, apply at TESC. If you've got a good mix of upper and lower level, you may be able to graduate very quickly only taking a test or two.
If you have fewer biz credits and/or you need a program with lighter math and no statistics requirement, COSC might fit the bill.... especially if you really dislike math. Yes you still have to do some at COSC, but it's considerably less.
OR if you're not totally sure which one would be better, apply at both. Yes it will cost you $150 bucks and the hassle of sending all your many transcripts to two different schools, but it just might be worth it.
Whatever you do, DO NOT spend any more time and money than you have to on your undergrad. As a biz major, you should be able to figure out that the ROI on your BS will decrease as your expenses become greater. Aside from the financial aspects, your happiness will be affected as well. After all, who wants to get a four year degree in 5 or 6 years? By then, you'll be so burned out on school that any possible graduate plans fizzle.

You all are unbelievably helpful, I've never seen a forum where people are this incredibly nice. Thanks to all of you, SERIOUSLY! :-)
A question for burbuja0512:
When you went to COSC, were you able to test out of everything? Does TESC have the same option?
My main criteria are:
1) Get majority of my credits accepted
2) Test out of everything
3) Graduate ASAP
Because I'm thinking your idea to apply to both makes a lot of sense. I'll apply to both and whoever gives me the most credit and faster chance to graduate, is the one I'll end up choosing.
PS: Not too much mentioning of Excelsior, should I apply to them as well or are TESC & COSC plenty?
PPS: If I add up all of my credit hours, I'm at 81 - not sure how many of those will go through though.

:iagree: The reason I still hang out here after having graduated in May is that everyone here helped me soooooo much through my entire degree. I totally want to pass along the good karma.
About COSC, you can't test out of everything. You WILL be required to take both a Capstone and a Cornerstone test, so if you want to do 100% testing, you should look at TESC. COSC would likely only be an advantage if you have a math phobia. I met my requirement with the College Math CLEP, which is pretty simple as far as math goes and most high schoolers could probably pass it. COSC doesn't have statistics required either, but this may not be an issue.
The other potential COSC benefit (and this is a stretch) is that there are fewer credits required in the area of concentration than in a major at TESC. So, I think TESC is like 54 biz credits where COSC is 36. I don't think this should make a difference unless you dislike business lol and haven't accumulated many credits that apply to the major yet.
We haven't touched much on EC, but I know that their requirements are very similar to TESC's but they do require a Capstone. I believe that they are not quite as expensive as TESC but just a bit more than COSC. Actual dollar amount would vary for you personally. With any of the big 3, you'll still be paying a fraction of what other schools will cost.
