- I took (and passed) 14 CLEP tests.
- My college awarded 45 credit hours (its maximum for transfer credit) for my CLEPs. (They award only 3 credits for most of the 6-credit CLEP exams, which I was OK with because I had an excuse to take more of them! I struggled with chronic CLEP addiction.)
- Tuition in 2011-12 (when I took my CLEPs) was about $330 for a 3-credit class. Once you factor in textbooks, that's over $400 per class.
- So you're looking at a cost savings of over $6,000. That's not to mention the time saved - in terms of both my own time and being able to earn a degree more quickly.
In other words, CLEP is an awesome deal!
