Thank you for digging that up for me! That is not what I meant, though. Let's say that a major has 10 requirements. Some of them can be filled with a CLEP or DSST exam, but there isn't a list that students can access that shows which ones can or can not be used for those specific requirements. The charts on page 15 are new and a good start to the idea, but I would like to see them expanded to include favorites, like CLEP/DSST/SL, and for all of the majors. Until then, we need to double-check these options with an advisor.

OP, KayV is right. We need to know what courses you already have, before we can really make specific degree recommendations to you. Show us what courses you already have, and someone on here can definitely show you the fastest route to a bachelors degree....In fact, it's very likely that you'll get a custom degree roadmap for each school for free!

Exploring all your options is apart of the process of speaking with your advisor, and not specifically becoming a mouth piece of the university you attended (are you being paid?). This individual could be enrolled under a specific enrollment plan, and you are telling them to withdrawal without speaking to their advisor, where such a plan could accumulate fees. Which is why I stated speaking with your advisor first should be the first step, then if you feel that EC cannot offer you what you want, you should then explore your options at other institutions of higher learning. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprise if some of you were not on the payroll of selected colleges of the "Big 3."

Now doesn't that sound ridiculous? I don't think you should accuse anyone who is trying to help and give the OP options of being biased one way or the other. There is simply a difference of opinion regarding how to approach the OP's current situation. I don't think it hurts to reach out to the other schools while also trying to figure things out at Excelsior. Why can't these things occur contemporaneously. Cookderosa makes several valid points and I hate to point out the obvious but Sanantone and Cookderosa are pretty far along in their educational endeavors so I wouldn't be so quick to throw away their helpful advice.

Who cares where they are in their educational journey, that has little to do with what was actually projected. I'm not the one who couldn't take the "opinion" of someone stating that an individual should speak with their advisor before making a decision. The OP didn't even know what exams they could take. You people are acting like me stating that the OP should speak with their advisor is a sin. Yet, I'm supposed to be the one who is being defensive, yet they are pounding their fingers on a keyboard in frustration because someone stated you should speak with your advisor and explore your options. I'm not mad at Exfactor; I just like joking. Exfactor has some valid points, but I still think it would help the OP a lot to post his or her credits. An advisor at any school will not know, or even advise if he/she did know, that another school will be a better option. An Excelsior advisor can tell the OP if his/her credits will be a better fit for another Excelsior degree program. An evaluation from TESC or COSC will help the OP compare. This is a pretty good place for the OP to be directed toward a particular degree at one of those schools. Honestly, we're much more open-minded than the advisors and think of things they would have never thought of. I've blind-sided advisors at TESC and COSC with my questions.

We all have our disagreements about which path is the best to take in particular situations, but we're all here to help. At least on this forum, the OP can compare and determine which advice is best for him or her. Cookderosa has helped a lot of people for free because she cares. She is not a shill for TESC. She has experience with the school and likes it. I really like TESC. Rebel100 and Publius2k4 really like COSC. Others really like Excelsior. There might be a slight bias in that we know more about one school than the others, but we have no problem with directing people to another school or forum members who know more about another school when it's obviously a better option.
