Way back in January of this year I decided I was going to finish my BA and become eligibile to teach in NJ. Well today I finally completed the last step.:hurray:
I was able to cajole the people at TESC into adding my new ALEKS math credits on to my transcript quickly. They received the ACE transcript by e-mail on 11/23 just 3 days after I finished the courses and they added them to my Academic Eval today.
So I put in my application for my 3rd Certificate of Eligibility (The dreaded Math) today. I will never be a math wiz, but I enjoy teaching the 6-8th graders the easy stuff.
I even exceeded my expectations by applying for a Masters Degree. If TESC gets my Official Transcript there in the next week I may even have my acceptance before the end of the year.
All of these accomplishments were not possible in my wildest dreams 4 years ago. If it was not for the love, support, encouragement, information( and occasional kick in the a$$ I needed) that I got from the wonderful people on this site I never would have made it this far. When I started on this journey I was just hoping I could work my way through and pull out an Associates degree before both mind and body were useless. But the people here have turned me into the little engine that could, no matter if that mountain keeps getting taller and further away I now have that "I know I can" feeling.
So THANK YOU once again to all of you wonderful people who helped me thus far. and to all of you newbies don't forget to pay it forward when you become an old timer here. This is a great community and I truly consider you my friends.cheersmate

This is what it's all about people - making your dreams come true and not by wishing on a star but by kicking its ass and making it happen for yourself - GREAT JOB!! :iagree:

Grats Linda!
I'm sure you said it in one of your other posts, but where were you looking at going for your masters? Was it WGU?
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully
