Pretty solid deal, too bad it's Strayer.

Thank you all for the valuable feedback, you all got me re-thinking. I am back to drawing board, to pick a ~$15k MBA with an AACSB accreditation offering one of the below specializations:
1. Leadership or Strategic Leadership
2. Organizational Leadership
3. Project Management
*** Some programs offer good core/elective courses, so General MBA might still be on the cards.

I may be able to take the wife on an EU vacation with the savings LoL!!! ;-)

Interestingly, the website mentioned, 'JWMI offers scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $23,100.'
Can you share some tips on how to reduce the $40k to just $4k?"

If $15K is your budget, it is tough to beat Southeastern Oklahoma State University. They are AACSB Accredited with a specialization in any of the following:

•Accounting
•Aerospace Logistics
•Data Analytics
•Entrepreneurship
•Finance
•General Business
•Healthcare Information Systems
•Human Resources
•Leadership
•Management
•Marketing
•Native American Leadership
•Project Management
•Safety
•Strategic Communication
•Women in Leadership

It seems to tick all your boxes aside from the prestige factor.

@shrekr, Great job, you can again, go down the earlier list of institutions and select your top two/three choices that are AACSB and skip the ones that are ACBSP. Saving that $$ for something else such as a vacation is an amazing thing, speaking of EU, my sister is flying to Europe today! She gets back in two weeks, a day before my wife comes back from Asia...

With your revised  budget I’d recommend looking into

https://onlinedegrees.nku.edu/programs/mba-general.aspx

It’s a state university @ < $500 a credit.

Or if you prefer semester based.

https://www.gsw.edu/college-of-business-...ba-program

< $10k

I personally like NKU. Probably a 300-400 rank school. They have some interesting online programs 5-8 week format. Not a lot of hoops to jump through for admissions and are reasonably priced. I think it’s like $40 to apply , transcripts and resume. No letters and has rolling admissions so you can apply 2 weeks before classes start Throughout the year.  I think they get a lot of curriculum and program advice from industry. They are right in the middle of a nice little hub. A stones throw from Cincinnati. An hour and a half from Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Lexington.

It’s the Jack Welch Management Institute.  It’s been a great program so far.  I am able to stack two separate benefits.  One was a discount through a benefit I have and on top of that, I get an employer reimbursement.  I am going the slow and steady pace which ends up being cheaper in the long run due to the employer reimbursement cycle.

If you have a portal through your employer, health insurance or other group, see if they offer a discount on tuition.  It might be Perkspot, LifeMart or something else.  And if you haven’t already, ask if your employer offers reimbursement.  Mine doesn’t advertise it, so I almost missed out on it, but a coworker told me about it.
