I need 15 math credits to be eligible to teach math (which I have already been doing since April 5th). I need 6 more math credits I already have Beginning algebra and a College Algebra and Collegr Trig from 20 years ago. I was just wondering of the 3 statistics offered by ALEKS and accepted by TESC which would be the easiest?

I haven't taken it yet, but intro to stats would probably be easiest, since behavioral stats is considered UL math, and business stats wasn't bad, just a lot of business specific formula's, so if you're good with rolling averages and stuff, go with business stats, otherwise intro to stats.

FYI behavioral stats and business stats were similar, but the business one had a lot of formula's that for me were hard to grasp.

Linda, you have a strong background in math/science so these courses will most likely be much easy for you than they were for me. Here's my review on the stats courses.

Intro to Stats (STA201) = definitely the easiest.

Beh Stats (STA201) = 2nd best option (a dupl for Intro so makes no sense to take this unless you are a Soc Sci major and contemplating a MS in the future. This is why I wanted it on my transcript just in case.)

Bus Stats (OPM351) = much harder (IMO). It has more modules and as such more questions/greater difficulty on the initial assessment. If you should score 70+ on the initial assessment great; if not, it has more indepth/difficult questions than the other stats courses. Not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Again, just my opinion. In reading through reviews on this forum others have had a different experience so YMMV.
