It depends on what you want. If you want undergrad info, especially the big 3, this is the best place no question. If you're new, this is the best place to be no question.
If you want distance learning in the "other" category- it's over there. By "other" I mean both NA and RA as well as international and especially graduate level DL options.
There are many members there with extraordinary encyclopedic knowledge about entire histories of colleges, diploma mills, accreditation, international doctorates, and the big players in the industry of educational fraud. If a college's accreditation is being challenged, if someone posted a linkedIn profile and listed a mill in their education, these guys know. If you're a high-ranking professional in the public eye, you should pray your credentials are legit- you will be outted on that board. I thought I was an edu-nerd, but next to most of them, I'm a baby. The grandfather of all distance learning (Dr. John Bear) is an active poster there.
The crowd there is older and more seasoned, with a wide range of expertise. Chatting there is like being at a poker game, and it's true, there is little patience for ignorance over there in the topics that they love.
The crowd here is offering help, encouragement, and study tips- the atmosphere is nurturing.
I love both, but for entirely different reasons.
