Human Resource Management DSST

I am studying this DSST. I was just wondering has anyone took this test? what is the overall opinion. I did some research and pass rate is 64%. I am feeling a little discourage.

it's pretty easy - I used IC flash cards to prepare. There is tons of feedback in specific exam feedback area that can get you through this class.

Believe it or not that is actually pretty high pass rate for an exam, you have to consider that some people most likely took the exam without studying and some are unlucky. My best advice to you is use the Peterson's practice exams, if you score a 65% or higher on the practice exam you will beat the real one easy.

Many military personnel (who can take these exams for free) just go and take a bunch of exams to see what they can pass. So checking the pass rate for everyone is not that helpful. Checking the pass rate for IC members is a much better reflection on the pass rate for people who actually study for the exams.

I've never paid much attention to the pass rates. I've taken 114 credits of CLEP and DSST and scored high on tests with low pass rates and failed tests with high pass rates. For me it has been the amount of time spent studying material. I'm not a strong test taker, so I have always erred on the side of more studying, but some people ace these with just a few hours of studying. And make sure you have checked out the specific exam feedback - it is very helpful. If you've taken any of the psychology, management, or human development tests there was a lot of similar material. And you'll never know how ready you are until you take the test. Smile Good luck!

Don't beat yourself up on this one...as long as you know the material in InstantCert, you should be gold. But I do know what you're going through...especially if this is your first test.
