I think he was saying that they wouldn't give him credit for CSU-Global's Info Sys Design & Mgmt, the other 2 did get credit (Cloud Computing and Info Sys Analysis & Design).

That's correct. I was told that the CSU Global CBE for Information System Design and Management wouldn't count towards my CIS area of study.
I'm hoping at this point I'll still get credit for it towards electives/free-credit, but we'll see once they FINALLY evaluate the transcript.

Ahh I see Sanantone's Degree Plan still has " CSU Global CBE - Information Systems Design and Management (CIS-311) and Cloud Computing and Big Data (equivalency unknown)" as CIS electives, so I would assume they wont count anymore? Is there any reason why they wouldn't accept that as a CIS (area of study) elective? A little confused here. Can Sanantone chime in on this? I was planning on taking these classes as well.
Sanantone's BSBA in Computer Information Systems - Degree Forum Wiki - Wikia
So correct me if I'm wrong,
CSU Global MIS440 Cloud computing and Big Data (3 CR)
CSU Global MIS350: Information Systems Analysis and Design (3 CR) both did go into CIS area of study,
are these UL courses?
But,
MIS300: Information Systems Design and Management did not go into CIS and went to General Education?
This is pretty confusing because on this thread: http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...bal-4.html
CSU Globals Info Sys Analysis and Design completes the mandatory requirement for "Systems Analysis and Design"
Quote:Submitted an enquiry to a TESC BA advisor as to whether the following CBEs would transfer as UL Natural Sciences credits:
MIS300EX: Information Systems Design and Management (3 credits)
MIS350EX: Information Systems Analysis and Design (3 credits)
MIS440EX: Cloud Computing and Big Data (3 credits)
And... the advisor confirmed that MIS300 and MIS350 may transfer as UL Nat Sci credits, CIS-311 and CIS-320 respectively. Yay! HCM460 and MIS440 won't classify as Natural Science courses though.
edit: So after a bit of digging it seems that:
CSU Global transfers into TESC like this:
MIS440: Cloud Computing and Big Data (3 CR UL) = TESC CIS-311 Database Management / or CIS-499 Special Topics Comp Info Sys (either way UL)
MIS350: Information Systems Analysis and Design (3 CR UL) = TESC CIS-320 System Analysis and Design I
MIS300: Information Systems Design and Management (3 CR) = ?
They cost $250 ea, can retake a second time if first fail. They are not ACE approved nor NCCRS approved and looks like TESC is the only one taking them right now.
Anyone confirm?

The last thing I'd heard (on this forum) was that Cloud Computing transfers in as CIS-499 (rather than CIS-311).

This is what I got from the assistant dean at the business school, after my advisor first approved me for UL credit for all 3 courses, then rescinded her pre-approval:
"[mpie18]
My review shows that on September 14, 2015 Academic Advising indicated to you that all 3 CSU courses, including the CSU Global course [he's referring to CSU ISDM here], would transfer to your area of study. Subsequently, on October 20, 2015, the DSST exam was posted as equivalent and credit was given for CIS 301 on your evaluation.
At this time, it was determined that the DSST exam duplicated the CSU Global course, and that the credit for the CSU global course could not be given again for CIS 301. Therefore, the CSU Global course will not count toward your degree requirements. ACE requirements do not allow the CSU Global course to be given credit for CIS 311 [which is what others were given for CSU ISDM], as you then requested.
I regret the confusion, but as indicated, the ACE requirements cannot be waived by TESC.
Thank you."
On my transcript, CSU Cloud Computing is pre-planned as CIS-499, Info Sys Analysis/Design is pre-planned as CIS-320, and Info Sys Design/Management is not pre-planned as anything.
I'm not sure if Info Sys Design/Management will not be transferred as anything, or will at least be transferred as general elective credit. They're taking their sweet time with evaluating the credit, so I'll let you guys know when it happens.
