Hey guys,
I'm looking for advice for TECEP CMP 354 Networking. I just subscribed to instant cert to check out the exam feedback, and alas, there is not a single thread about this TECEP.
Besides, running through the textbook over and over, anyone have any additional resources or help?

I took it a few years ago and my notes might be on the board. Try searching for them.
The test content is super old. You need to know things like the max distance of cat 3 versus cat 5 cabling. Nobody has used cat 3 since the early nineties. I took a mcse test called networking essentials back in 1998 and this tecep is about the same. See if there is a test guide for that test available or a brain dump.
I found this pdf by searching for networking essentials mcse pdf and page 131 discusses cable media differences in max transfer rate and length. This was on the test.

They also ask about standard ports for email and telnet if I recall.

"Retests
You may retake a TECEP exam one additional time if you do not pass.
You must register again and pay a new test fee."

The test actually just got revised for December onward - now contains essays.
Also I had the same retest question - to clarify this is for life - not just the term.

Taking this exam on Monday. I'm absolutely scared because I've been studying for almost 3 weeks and a lot of this info just keeps flying over my head. Any other tips people can provide?
