ME too! Although I am actually 34, will be 35 in April. Look 24. if you don't believe me just look at my pic.
As for the multicultural category. I got that. I truly am a mutt. My dad is from whatever white admixture makes up the population from the Appalachians (I'm not going to go into into becuase I sort of hate it when white people do that to make themselves seem more "exotic" when they actually seem to dislike people like me who actually are "exotic". So instead of saying I am scottish, german, romanian, , bulgarian, swedish, irish,French, Moldovian, Czech, Hungarian with a bit of Native American from the Seneca Nation , etc on my dad's side(and no I am not all of what I listed. Only 3 of them, just trying to make a point!).
I just say I am half white and half Filipina. (I also hate when Filipino people say they are part Spanish, Chinese and...lastly Filpino.)They really don't know for sure and when they do say they are spanish it's always their "great grandpa". I just know that if I do have Spanish in my blood line it's probably not due to it being consensual so I will not claim it. Nor chinese since I don't know for sure.
Indigenous mountain tribal filipino + white trailer park appalachian will do for what I am.
Anyways, talking about race for me is always a sore spot. Since it's a big part of my life....I can't help but that race mostly takes center stage. Especially growing as a child and adolescent in a very caucasian community that made me feel very unwelcome.
One thing I learned -
Being part white but looking too ethnic = bad.
Looking white but getting to say how mixed you are = good.
