No one course is enough to get it waived and get the discount I only did one course with study.com...and grt the discounts and could have waived the cornerstone. but I still did the cornerstone..its is a very easy course and give a year enrollment. and is good especially if you dont want to study for a TECEP....

If cost is an issue then taking at least one TECEP exam for enrollment would be cheaper. Cost of the cornerstone would be $300 and a lower-level TECEP exam is $25 per credit and upper-level is $75 per credit.

Also, bringing in a certain number of credits can get it automatically waived. I think it is around 104 - but it has been a while since I checked. I emailed and had it added before I ever transferred a study.com course, but I have heard that for some people they want to see the transcript first.

As of 7/2018 the Cornerstone is no longer waived under the Study affiliation (however there are still discounts on the residency waiver and tuition) - the only way to get the cornerstone waived is to have 104 credits transferred in.

If you have 104 credits transferred in then you email them and ask for it to be removed. It is my understanding those 104 can include OTHER (the ones that don't fit in your current degree plan)

Keep plugging along and work on your other courses for now, just don't worry about the Cornerstone until you're about to graduate. Once you have all your credits available or completed, apply for graduation and get them to remove the cornerstone requirement by waiver. They need to verify you have taken Study.com courses and have that 104+ credits within the degree program to get the waiver.

My reading of the latest posts from Study.com is that waiving the Cornerstone is no longer tied to taking Study.com courses. I believe that anyone can get that waiver by having 104cr.

I was just told today that they willl NOT waive the TES-100 course if you are applying for the waiver after July 1st.

Hmm seems a bit fishy but this is the second person I've been told by. Study.com needs to send your transcripts to TESU but they are very late to respond if you do not have an active membership. The TES-100 course can be finished in 1 day, but it would have been nice to save $300 dollars.

The TES-100 course will not be waived after 7/1/18 due to a Study.com affiliation - it can only be waiver based the standard TESU rule of meeting 104 courses transferred in.   It is possible to never take a Study.com course and have that waived if/when you transfer in 104 credits.  The Study.com affiliation now gets you discounts in other areas so there is defiantly still value to it - the residency discount alone and their many UL offerings (just zero impact on getting the TES-100 Cornerstone waived).  So, in short don't ask for the TES-100 to be waived until you reach the 104 credit transfer minimum (and when you ask for it don't mention Study - it will just confuse 'them' because what your asking for would have nothing to due with Study.com anymore)

BTW - this is not fishy, and it's not Study.com's fault.  This is TESU's rule.
