How long does WVNCC take to do an eval?

I am about to send my ACE transcripts to WVNCC, however on the ACE page it offers two options, Paper or Electronic. Did you send yours electronically and what email address did you use? Margaret DeCola. mdecola@wvncc.edu? Thank you. I rather not pay twice to send.

I don't think I did electronic for anything, because I didn't have an email address to send it to. Surprisingly, ACE was by far the fastest for them to put in the eval (at least, to show as received). Nothing went into the eval yet, or else they don't accept ALEKS because none of my math courses went in there.

Well, according to ACE tracking, my transcripts were delivered, just not yet opened. Hopefully some movement next week.

Update: I'm now 9 ½ weeks into this, and STILL waiting. I finally emailed my advisor today, and she responded very quickly, with a degree audit done by hand. She answered my questions (showed the dates all transcripts were received), and said that she did not review my transcripts, but actually just used what was in the Navigator system to fill in everything. It showed that I had the correct GPA, gen ed requirements done, and electives completed. She even gave me an area of emphasis (Business/Accounting) even though I didn't ask for it. She used my ALEKS courses from my ACE transcript, but did not use my TESU credits (the transcript only came in yesterday), nor my SJSU credits. But it was still enough.

She also forwarded the email with her hand-made audit on to the registrar's office, asking them to update Navigator, so we shall see what happens there. I'm really hoping they get it fixed this coming week and show that I can get my degree. I have my Graduation Application filled out and ready to go, and the deadline to send it in is 6/16.

I also would like the Area of Emphasis to show up on something, so I sent a new email asking how to get that onto the diploma/transcript.

WVNCC doesn't charge any fees, if that's what you mean? No application fee, no graduation fee, etc. So you'll pay the costs of getting your transcripts to them, basically.

If all of your transcripts have arrived @ WVNCC, you can submit the application anytime thereafter. You don't have to wait until they update Navigator. Indeed, it may spur them to finish the update!

(As an aside, I graduated yesterday. My Navigator *still* says, " 99% complete. Almost done, see your advisor." On stage, they just handed out degree cases, not the actual degree papers. They won't mail out the May degrees until a bulk mailing on June 16th, presumably to let people finish up "incompletes" and such. So I'd go by what your advisor & the registrar say, not necessarily what the Navigator shows.)

Pierpont is the same - no application/graduation fee, just send transcripts. Their next deadline is June 1 for summer graduation; after that, it's September 1 for the December graduation. Pierpont also requires that their AAS be the *first* degree on your record. To my knowledge, WVNCC doesn't have this requirement.

The big dates for WVNCC are June 16 for the June 30th conferral, and July 28th for the August 11th conferral. They haven't published the dates for December yet.

Well then, I' going to go ahead and send my Graduation App in now! Of course, nowhere on this app does it say exactly where to send it. Any advice on that?
