According to the term sheet, someone uploaded, managerial accounting isn't offered the 1st term, you'll have to wait till the 2nd term to take it unless they changed it.

I took Managerial Accounting at Straighterline and it did transfer. If you go under transfer equivalencies on Maine Street, it shows up on there.

When did you transfer it in? UMPI has been reevaluating ACE courses quite a bit the last 6 or so months. Just because something is on the transfer equivalences doesn't mean it is currently accepted. Those are all courses that have transferred into UMPI in the past.

I transferred it over right at the beginning of July before the first session ended. I was actually told that the transfer equivalencies on the Straighterline website weren’t updated. I had the same issue where I thought it wasn’t accepted because it doesn’t show up on Straighterline, Jessica sent me the screenshot of it on the transfer equivalencies through Maine Street and told me they accepted it, and they did!

I wonder if this was part of the evaluation of StraigherLine. It seemed odd that many classes were missing when they accept so much from Study.com.

I’m struggling so bad. I got a 72% on the first exam and a 56% on the midterm. I’ve been reading and focusing and even made some excel spreadsheets on some of the calculations but those didn’t help me any during either of the exams. The videos definitely help me and this course doesn’t have any. I’m really contemplating on giving up on this course. Is UMPI’s not as much of a drag? This really sucks
I just finished this course today. The content wasn't bad, but the lack of videos made it a lot harder to absorb the concepts. I started to really struggle near the middle and by the end I was almost pulling my hair out. I ended up watching a bunch of online vids to get the majority of the learning done. Not being able to use scratch paper on the final exam was VERY frustrating as I had a hard time keeping the numbers straight while trying to sort everything out on the dinky little calculator provided. I ended up doing a hail mary and guestimating any of the harder formula questions as I knew I was close to the 70% pass. Ended up squeaking by, but I was in the same boat as you and feeling pretty stressed about the class. I'm just glad it's done now. Unless I'm missing something key this type of course with calculations seems like a poor match for the Instantcert format.
Having said all of that, you got this!!
Here are the videos that helped me a bunch;
https://www.edspira.com/index-managerial-accounting/
All the best.

Thank you, Shawn. I'm going to redo both the 1st exam and the midterm and hope for a better grade. I haven't even gotten started on the last third of the lessons and I'm already dreading it. I'll have a look at the link you shared. I'll try to chug on through. Thanks again
Hey there. I'm not sure if this information is too late or not, but in an e-mail, with Steven from Instantcert, he confirmed even though it is not mentioned anywhere you can use scrap paper on the final exam. Since it's a pass/fail grade for me and I passed I'm not going to sweat it, but I figured I would let you know in case you are still working on the course.
Best of luck!!

Thanks, Shawn. I ended up dropping it. I really wasn't feeling confident at all. I'm hoping that UMPI's will work out. This might be the deciding factor between me getting a business degree or BLS
WOW, just took the first test in this course... 68%... not feeling good about this at all. I hope the videos listed help because the lack of Video content for accounting is rough. and to think I aced both my Accounting I and II classes at a South Suburban College before taking this course...
I am hoping the video's shared in this thread help, because this course is depressing...

I totally felt the same way. Were you using scrap paper? I think I finished with a 72, my lowest course by far, but was literally doing stuff in my head and felt like an idiot when I found out that scratch paper was allowed. Even so, I can't recommend the SDC version enough, it was a lot easier for me to take in.
Best of luck!

I haven't even taken the midterm yet... I am so freaked about the first exam that it's been hard to get motivated to bother with working on it... I have am able to take the mid term at this point but am very concerned about taking it - I might try to boost the first exam score first.
I have to buckle down and power through it so I can move on to Spanish I - the course I was really worried about when starting this process...

You can do this! As a consolation, the Spanish course was very fair so you got the hard stuff out of the way first!
