I have never done FEMA courses. I understand from reading here and there that you can do 25 of them and get them transferred to Excelsior College. Each one is worth semester hour correct?
I have several friends here in the Army who would benefit promotion-wise from knocking out these online courses. The thing is I really don't know where they need to go to sign up or how it all works. Could someone post a little primer for me with a link to the FEMA site for the courses so I can help these fellow Soldiers out? I tried looking on the FEMA site but it's very cumbersome when you're not sure what you're looking for. I would really appreciate some help here. Thanks.

So do you have to have FCC transcript them before sending them off to TESC or Excelsior? Or is there a way around that?

TESC accepts the credits "Raw" without having to send them to FCC, however Excelsior needs them on a FCC (or another RA school-other than TESC) transcript to accept the credits.

When you go to the Fema site for these courses it doesn't appear to ask for a login and user id.
But it does then ask for an authentication code....strange.....but I was wondering how it knows who to award the credits to.
Can someone pls. tell me how this process works?

After you compelte the course or courses you want to take; print off the transcript request form from the site, send it in and in ten days you have the transcript. I did this and it was completely painless. Now if I can only get TESC to actually post the transcripts they have had for the last two weeks I would be okay.

Is it $60 per semester hour to get credit from FCC? Or can you do several FEMA courses and then get all of them transcripted at once for $60?
Thanks.
