How do you sell your books?
#1
Silly ADD, I really meant to ask how folks sold their books. I've got textbooks from (recent) PF courses, a couple of CLEP REA study guides, used textbooks that I think could be used for DSST exams, etc. I could donate to the library, take to used book store, etc., but I wondered how (with specifics) you sold your books. Thanks. (I really should be working on my stats.)

I haven't done anything with my school books, yet. I have never sold any books, but I have traded books. (I'm not sure that I should encourage this type of distraction to you right now, since trading books can be addictive!) I learned about http://www.Paperbackswap.com through Alissaroot.

You can check which books are currently wanted and posted. Many people are wishing for REA books. Here is a link to those:

Search results for Rea Clep Books (showing 1-10 of 64 books)

When you pay the postage to mail one of your books to another PBS member, you can choose any book you want from the website to receive in return at no charge.

I hope you are doing well with your stats course!

I haven't sold any, but I usually buy them on eBay if I can, so you can always try that route.

Ya know, I've always thought we should have a swap/for-sale folder here. So many of us take the same courses/exams, that it seems silly not to recycle resources!

Yes, this forum would be the best place to offer your books from school. (That is one of the best parts about trading at PBS - you know the receiver truly wants your book. When donating to the local library, check their policy. At mine, there is the chance the donated books will just get thrown away. That is not okay with me.)

When I found this forum (4 years ago), there was a book exchange section. There were problems that made it hard to moderate (see links for details), but we are still allowed to create posts with lists of our books to sell or trade to other forum members. It would probably help if you can receive money through PayPal. (I can't help you with that part, since I don't know how to do that.)

Amazon.com!! We bought all my REA books new from Amazon so that they would be worth something to sell. I think they ended up costing us about $4 after reselling them.

I haven't tried to sell any of my books, yet. I'll probably just pass 'em on.

An idea worth investigating would be having a subsection of this forum designed for selling and buying books. There's a good concentration of people here that could utilize it.

Thank you all. I have two REA abooks (?Macro? and Financial Accounting) that I never even opened, and a Marketing one that has been too well used. Then a bunch others. Most, I'm thinking, would be helpful to forum users. I'll look into all of you suggestions. I've never bought anything from Amazon that wasn't a store, and I've never bought anything on e-Bay. Needless to say, I haven't sold anything at either place. Yeah, as to the stats, I REALLY do have to get back to that.
