Did you already pay to have the courses transcribed at FCC? TESC accepts the credits directly from a free, FEMA transcript and does not charge to do so. FEMAs count as free electives for every program except for Homeland Security and Emergency Management where they count as area of study electives. Somewhere on this forum, there is a list of FEMA credits TESC accepts.

Somewhere on this forum, there is a list of FEMA credits TESC accepts. To EMPHASIZE THIS POINT, you're going to pay FCC $3500 to do something that is free. If you have taken your free FEMA courses, have your free FEMA transcript sent to TESC for free. They are all free electives in any degree besides the EM degree as mentioned, so beyond the available free electives in the degree you are considering, are worthless. Business degrees take 17 minus whatever free electives you have, and any other BA takes 27 minus what you already have. Feel free to forward me the $3500, spring registration is next week. milelol:

It looks like TESC only accepts 27 of them, not all of them, and if they are only elective, they are useless for liberal arts BA etc. Is that true?

From what I understand and recall these FEMA "credits" are good elective fillers and really nothing more. I used six of them to complete my BS and in the end really didn't need them at all as I graduated with 126 credits. If you need them, use them, if not then don't wa$te your time.

Or can be applied to the homeland security concentration. Of course that may or may not be of help to you.

jme,
I was able to use 22 FEMA credits towards my BA in History (I had 27 FEMA credits total) and it didn't cost me a dime. I saved a ton of money and learned a lot in the process. Yay!!!

Here's the thread announcing the new catalog over the summer. Looks like it went to 32 credits.
