I'm curious to find out how everybody on this board heard about Instantcert, and also...what are your main reasons for pursuing a degree thru this 'non-traditional' method?
I just want to get to know more people on this board & what various skills/talents you all have, etc.
Is that wrong?

Putzing around the internet trying to figure out the best way to study for CLEP and DSST tests. I regularly thank God that I only spent a month studying from a textbook before I came across InstantCert.

I actually originally applied to Jacksonville University and the advisor there reccommended the site. But now from being on this site and learning of programs that are done completely by exam im thinking of switching to Thomas Edison or Excelsior. As a night shift working try to attend class is too hard and a lot of Nursing Schools Online while they claim it's all online you must do projects in community setting with a Masters Prepared RN well hello they work days. I just didn't want to spend my whole day basically working for free after i worked all night. I do sleep sometimes LOL.

I "accidentally" (read "Providentially"
) came across the site while looking for online study sources for CLEP tests.
I scheduled my first CLEP test for June 8, American History I, and I feel pretty confident after using InstantCert the past 2 weeks. I'm browsing the History textbook, watching free history lectures on
Annenburg Media and doing IC flashcards.

I found out about IC through this forum! I was searching for CLEP study helps for the humanities test and voila! This forum popped up. I am not one to make snap decisions like that but less than 15 minutes later I had signed up and was already studying! I am 100% positive that I would still be trying to study for humanities and going waaaaaaay too deep on the totally wrong things if it wasn't for IC. It has been such a blessing in my life. I am going on a 7 day tour of London, England tomorrow and I am taking all my study materials so I can study for American History 1 and 2 on the 13 hour plane ride! I am so excited about the possibilites that IC opens up. Bachelors here I come!!

Wow...it must be rough to be having to study on your way to London.
Just out of curiosity, what are you going to London for?

I also heard it through my counselor through CollegePlus! At first I ignored it because it was $20 dollars/month. Now, It has proved very useful. Couldn't do without it...
