I did business law with SL and was extremely unimpressed. I did the lessons, took notes, studied my *** off, and only managed to get F's on the tests, because none of the material in the lessons was actually on the tests. I have a few classes left to do that i could use SL for. However, I am extremely hesitant. My other option is study.com. I am at a loss for which path i should take to complete my last few classes.
TESU March 2020 Graduation
--ASNSM Mathematics
--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science
University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)
I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

It's worth asking, but do you have the right edition of the textbook? SL is very very "text-dependent" and that might explain the discrepancy.

Yes, definitely make sure to have the correct edition ebooks. The video lessons really have nothing to do with the quizzes & tests. That particular part of SL is not a good system. If it wasn't for advice here on the forum, I wouldn't have done as well as I did in the SL courses.

@Zachcleigh - First let me start off by saying my wife (German) laughs at American expressions "I Studied My *Ss Off". She would ask 'Does He No Longer Have An *Ss After Such Study"?
Jennifer's mention of the right ebook would be one of my first thoughts. I took several courses, so has my daughter and felt the structure was formatted in a way to set the student up to succeed. If I remember correctly, Business Law was one of the tougher Business Courses but definitely doable. Before diving back into Law, you might want to entertain Business Communications or Intro to Business to establish a better base before stepping into the more focused subjects.
Good luck!!

My teenage son took 7 SL courses this past month, the last of which was business law. He told me business law was the most challenging for him, by far, but he completed it with an 80%. Having the right textbook is VITAL - he used the hell out of his book for all tests and the open book final. Many of the test questions came word-for-word from the text. I believe you can also have one sheet of notes, back and forth, so if you have certain things you struggle with on the tests, you can print out the questions/answers or relevant information to help you. My son found the final exam really difficult and scored only around a 60% on it, but his score going in was 87% so he still passed the course.
If you want to try some other courses which might be easier, I've read that business law is generally regarded as the hardest non-science course on SL. My son breezed through US History, Intro to Business, Environmental Science, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Business Ethics, all in a 30 day period. He pre-read most of the textbooks before he began his subscription in order to make the most of his time. It turned out to be a good plan!

That is really impressive by your son! Also, I have to ask if your username has anything to do with Rowan University in NJ?

Nope, it's a relic from my very old AOL email from the early 90's - and comes from a character in an Anne Rice novel
