Where are you? Just wondering if you are close to a CLEP or DSST Center or not.
As for your education level, have you taken any courses at your local college or not?

Have you done a bit of research and came to the conclusion of COSC as your school?

Most colleges and universities have a PLA option, so you can take a look at that for easy credits.
You should take the free Kaplan PLA course as that transfers or should transfer as IDS 100.

If they allow any free credits, then try to get them that way from the wikia page or my signature.
They also allow FEMA credits but they go in as Gen Ed, you don't have to be a US PR or citizen to take those.

You can take ALEKS for Math/Stats $20. Or Saylor courses at $25/ProctorU exam, you are just graded for 1 exam and would rival a CLEP or DSST unless you're in the military and get them free. If you like studying and just testing that's a great option.

If you are not working or going to school and have lots of time, you should cram most of your courses using these and Straighterline as they allow you to take advantage of numerous courses for a monthly membership fee.

COSC requires "earned nine acceptable college-level credits" for admission, but I have 0 now.
Do you think I can earn these 9 credits from Kaplan, FEMA ,ALEKS, Saylor, Straighterline and COSC will accept it?
Or you mean I should take as much credits as possible from these places before I applying COSC?

You do not need to take all the tests, that's just a list of all exams that they accept at the time of printing, and it's probably not even complete.

You can also get credits that are free/cheap in other ways:
Kaplan Open PLA (3cr free)
Insurance Ethics (2cr free)
FEMA courses (many, all free)
ALEKS - $20/mo, you should take Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, also available is College Algebra, Precalculus, Statistics
Saylor - courses are free, proctored exams are $25 each. Make sure you take the ones that are ACE-Approved or NCCRS-Approved
Straighterline - $99/mo membership fee, and then you pay for each course, plus books (unless they're included) - all are ACE-Approved

I think most people wait to enroll at COSC, since you have to pay a fee each term that you're enrolled. It could get expensive if it takes you a while to work your way through your courses.

You should plan out your degree before you start taking a lot of courses (except the free ones, and the Saylor & Aleks courses), as you need to know what will fit into your degree plan. Figure out which degree you want, and then people here can help you plan things out. Much easier that way, and then when you enroll at COSC, you'll be almost done and you can just take the cornerstone and capstone and be done.

Hi ZYF,
You are worried about starting and getting accepted at COSC. Sit back and relax.
You do both to meet the requirements and more before you apply.

Your first step should be to find the degree and requirements for that degree and create a spreadsheet.
Second step is to work on most of those requirements, I would get almost halfway, such as getting all your gen Ed courses done.
Third, apply to ACE Credit Registry and have your courses sent to them if they are ACE recommended.
Four, apply to COSC and send them your transcripts from ACE and whatever else you have.
Five, speak with an advisor on completing your courses and match it with your spreadsheet.

You might want to plan and map out your degree, fill all those credits up, and apply at the latest point.
The reason is you will have all your stuff together for them to process and graduate before they charge you another annual enrollment fee. This is explained on the wiki actually.

Again, if you're still confused, COSC and TESU allows you to transfer pretty much everything but their capstone and cornerstone courses. This means, you don't need to apply right away. You can spend 6 months or 10, get 100 credits or something more and then apply to them.

Forgot to answer this, both statements are true.
Yes, you should take those courses from all those mentioned before applying.
You should complete most, if not all of those courses and your degree requirements.
COSC will accept them all, as long as it is still ACE recommended.

If you don't know where to begin, get a spreadsheet going and enter in the required courses.
Find all required courses from what's available and plug in that info. Work on those courses.

B.S in cyber security will be my first choice.
B.S in business administrator will be the second.
They both require 40 general education credit, 40(ge) + 36 (major) + 44 (selectives) =120
Is it a good time for me to start work on these ge and selective?
My draft plan is to finish all the ge + selective first, then apply COSC, then finish the rest course, is it sounds a OK plan?
I will start with this free one: FEMA (Do you know how much credit can I tranfer to COSC from FEMA?)
Do you have any suggestion on Kaplan? Is their College composition course same as English composition which required by COSC General Education?
