I would like some input from some of you that are so knowledgeable in this arena. I've jumped in and started taking Sophia classes, but I haven't wrapped my head around a concrete plan just yet. I figure it would make sense to ask for assistance.
Your Location: AL, US
Your Age: 43
What kind of degree do you want?: Leaning towards BABA- Project Management from UMPI
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 43
School Name Total Credits: George C Wallace Community College- 43
Class Name, Credits, Grade
ORI 101- Orientation to College- A
ENG 101- English Comp 1- A
ENG 102- English Comp 2- B
MTH 100- Intermediate College Algebra- B
MTH 112- Precalculus Algebra- B
HUM 102- Introduction to Humanities- C
HIS 201- US History 1- B
PSY 200- General Psychology- B
CIS 146- Micro Computer Applications- A
ECO 231- Principles of Macroeconomics- A
ECO 232- Principles of Microeconomics- A
BUS 241- Principles of Accounting- B
BUS 263- Legal/Social Environments of Business- B
BUS 275- Principles of Management- C
BUS 276- Human Resource Management- B
** Edit to add** 2 years of Spanish from HS that will transfer as they are Dual Enrollment**
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 12 (3 more waiting on touchstone grading)
Provider Total Credits: Sophia 12 (+3)
Class Name, Credits, Grade
Art History 1- 3
Environmental Science- 3
Introduction to Business- 3
Introduction to Ethics- 3
Business Communication - Awaiting touchstone grade
Budget: I'd like to go the cheapest route possible, but will consider spending more for easy and fast.
Commitments: I work remotely and am able to devote a good bit of time during the day to get these things knocked out. All of the Sophia courses have been started and completed within the last week.
Dedicated time to study: Pretty flexible.
Timeline: As fast as possible would be ideal. The lack of degree isn't currently actively holding me back, but I would like doors opened up in the future.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Yes. Employer will reimburse 100% of classes with a B or higher grade from a regionally accredited university.
Any certifications or military experience? No
Leaning towards project management as that plays to the strengths of my resume, but accounting or anything finance related interests me as well.
Thanks in advance for the guidance.

You absolutely need to take Human Biology, Human Biology Lab, Environmental Science, and Spanish I from Sophia. I would focus on those as soon as you've completed whatever else you have open. From there, you should complete the remainder of the classes at Sophia that count towards the GEC. Fill out the electives. Do NOT take Sophia's Project Management.
You can see suggestions on what should be taken in the plans listed here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I am awaiting Business Communications to be graded. I’ve been doing others that don’t have touchstones during the wait as I don’t want to start a second touchstone class and hold everything up. Biology and lab plus environmental science are definitely on the list.
Also, you suggest taking Spanish even though I already have two years of Spanish? I thought only one was required.

Explain how the Spanish from HS are going to transfer to UMPI, as this is unclear? Did you take an AP exam that could count for college credit?

How would 2 years of HS Spanish transfer? Only college credit transfers.
If you were an 18yo looking to meet admissions requirements at a state school, then 2 years of HS foreign language is usually required to get INTO college, but it doesn't give you actual credit.

Then they are Community College (CC) credits? In that case, you should list them as such (if you still have 'edit' time available). If they are CC credits, that you took during HS, then you do not need the Sophia Spanish course. Is there anything else you took as part of the duel enrollment during HS (at a CC) that you may have forgotten to list? I am assuming it was a different CC for the dual enrollment than the one (Wallace) you had listed; which is why you had originally forgotten them.

I can’t edit anymore, but those are the only DE classes I took and they are from the same CC.

OK, I've updated the post to mention dual enrollment for the Spanish. Anyways, Welcome to the board! I think your initial UMPI PM&IS option is a good choice, I would recommend staying with that for now unless something comes up (such as another concentration you like more). Get a spreadsheet of your required courses and review the WIKI, link us to the file you store on your one/google drive, make it viewable and not editable (make sure to remove personal details if any). We can further give comments or advise which courses may be better.

If you want the fastest, easiest option, then skipping the BABA and just doing a BLS/PM would be faster (although I think a business degree is the better option). But you would only have to take the minimum 10 courses there at UMPI for the BLS, vs having to take 17 courses for the BABA.
Take:
American Gov
Bio w/lab
Sociology
If you still want to take courses via alt-credit, then Study.com has some additional ones:
ACC 301: Applied Managerial Accounting
BUS 303: Management Information Systems
BUS 304: Leading Organizational Change
BUS 312: Advanced Operations Management
That would get you down to 13 courses instead of 17, which would prob save you another term. You could prob finish in 2 terms instead of 3.
-------------------------------------
I also looked at the TESU BSBA/FIN or BSBA/ACC, and while you're a good fit, and you could do the entire degree(s) via alt-credit, I don't think it will end up faster in the long run, since the Cornerstone and Capstone will take 12 weeks, after you've completed the remaining requirements.
Overall, UMPI is the better option.
