Help me, Review this degree plan for TESU

Hey There!

Before I begin,

I must tell my current circumstances:

I am an international student, So WGU is out of my reach for the time being, So TESU is likely my best option. 

I made an pre-alpha version of the degree plan for CS & Math plan in 1 semester.

It would be awesome if you guys can help me, Figure out the flaws in this plan, 

even though I think this is not really the best plan, Cause If anything goes wrong the whole 1 semester thing will be out the window. So I will really appreciate if you guys can help me out with this.

I made the plan, Based on the terminology of CS first Math Second.

I wrote everything in notepad, So It might not be super pretty, Please bear with this for the time being:

Note: Wherever I have written already mentioned or mentioned, It is likely tied to some other part of Comp sci or Math

Edit: I have forgotten to say, I am planning to take the flat rate of 16 credits, Also the cornerstone won't be in the flat rate. It will be done via edx because it is cheaper with current sale

I don't see how the cornerstone is cheaper via edX than being taken during a flat rate term. The edX version of the cornerstone is only usable for the BACS, make sure that you can add a math degree and still use it. I also wonder whether you can reasonably expect to handle Lin Alg, Calc III, and the Capstone all in one term.

Well, I just checked Edx, It does say, That will transfer as TESU’s SOS 110 Information Literacy, 

So, I don't really see any reason, Why it cannot be used for both,

Also is the capstone really hard?

The TESU site says that it's only valid for the BACS. There has been no clarification on whether the edX course will work for a BACS and another degree completed at the same time. It might be a good idea to make an advising appointment with Don Stolz (and only Mr. Stolz) to ask.

I didn't knew it might be only for BACS, guess I should ask Mr Stolz, I can only contact him after I am admitted in TESU correct?

Yes. I would strongly suggest applying and getting enrolled ASAP.

It depends on how easy writing papers is for you. It's a 25 page min research paper. I'd venture to guess most people would need at least 10-15 hours a week devoted to it, could be more. On the plus side, you get to pick your own topic, and because of the prescribed format, much of the content is a bit repetitive.

Most people who do the flat rate term do the cornerstone and capstone, plus courses that they don't anticipate difficulty with to make 16 credits. Lin Alg and Calc III are not usually "easy" courses for most people. Also, by taking the cornerstone through edX, it won't count towards residency or as RA credit, so you'll have to take some other course to make up for that. EdX makes more sense if you're planning to pay the residency waiver and don't need 16 resident credits.

If you do take it on a challenging flat rate term and run into difficulty, keep in mind that you can extend a course for a fee. I had to do that for my capstone because of the travel requirements of a new job.

I usually tell people the capstone will take 80 hours +/- 20 hrs.

The capstone won't be your major problem. You can pay for an extension if you need more time.

There are some tricks, such as studying courses and writing the entire capstone ahead of your term. Math courses alone can take some people up to 200 hours to do. You have to be careful loading up a bunch of hard math courses at once. 

If you do the flat term, then take TESU Software Engineering.

Well, you don't want to go paying for courses, then fail them, plus the point of doing the flat rate term is to get 16 credits so you don't have to pay the residency waiver. If you fail the math courses, you'd be short.

If you come back later to do the math degree, you don't have to do the cornerstone again, but you do have to take the capstone again, and you need to pay another residency waiver or take another 16 TESU credits. You also have to take 24 new credits overall (can be alt cred). They have to be earned after you graduate the first bachelor's.
