I was a lurker years ago, but never got onto a set degree path. Having decided to re-explore the possibility, seems that many things have changed and new options are now available.
I'm looking to get a BSBA - GM from TESU (unless there's something faster/better that will get me towards a business degree of some sorts).
I currently have the following:
CLEP: College Algebra, American Government, Intro to Sociology
ALEKS: Business Statistics, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra (all completed by 2015)
LSU: Financial Accounting
Just finished this weekend some of the freebies:
SOPHIA: Managing Conflict, Dev. Effective Teams
The Institute: Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct
So far I have the ALEKS banked at ACE and waiting on the SOPHIA + Institute to populate.
I'm planning on ordering the ACTFL Language Proficiency (both an Oral and Written) for a language other than English. I think I will likely get close to Advanced / Proficient for this.
I do not have the ability to drive for proctoring (one of the reasons in the past this never took off for me) and I prefer self-paced / on my own time with and preferably as fast as I can.
Not sure I have understood the distinction and benefit of SL / Study.com / Sophia / Saylor? Are the differences cost, time or other transferability?
If anyone would be willing to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
