Has anyone used instantcert lately?

Besides for the flashcards, IC gives you access to the Specific Exam Feedback which is, IMO, just as valuble as the study material itself. I passed 4 CLEPS with a 63 or higher using IC and REA. I really believe that IC is the way to go!!! Good Luck!

I've been on IC for a little while now. I take my first two exams (US HIST I and American GOV'T) next Tuesday. I am confident already!

InstaCert is the way to go. I use it first to just see what the topics on the exam will be, then study the cards like crazy, then do a Petersons test to see if anything is sticking, then go back to the cards some more. I have used IC on each of my tests almost exclusively and they are right on with what you need to know.

I take notes from the cards (suggested to me by many of the sage posters on this great board!) and make a sheet for each topic on the exam. I keep adding to each sheet as info comes up on the cards.

When I am taking the Petersons test for the first time, I jot down any phrases/terms etc that I do not have any idea about so I can go back to study those. Always going back to the IC cards.

If it were not for the IC cards I would not have knocked out all of the exams that I did in one month. I would pay way more than $20 a month but don't tell that to Steve the webmaster !!

I have used IC for all but my first couple of exams. I now sign up for 6 months at a time and have my son use it to study the months I am resting. I use other resources too, but IC flashcards and the exam specific feedback are what I find the most useful.

IC is so awesome. It gets you on the right track. I usually go through all the flash cards once and don't even try the spelling. Then I go back and do the spelling. Do not get stuck on the spelling! Some people give up because they get something wrong when they spell something incorrectly. We are not in this for the correct spelling. Just get the main concepts. Don't worry about what you get right or wrong, just concentrate on the questions, answers, and the explanations. You can't go wrong with IC!

I especially found it helpful for American Government. Am using it now for Principles of Management and it seems good there, too. I found it less helpful for liberal arts courses like the histories. Its usefulness probably depends a lot on who wrote the questions and answers for a given subject.

At any rate, it's pretty affordable and definitely worth it even if only as a supplement.

I was just wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice whether to use instantcert. Is it worth my time/money? If you have used it recently, which clep did you pass? Any info. would really help? Thanks

You can test it out when you get ready to study for an exam. If you go to the site they have a money back gaurantee if you cancel within a specific trial period.

Wow, thanks everyone for all the replies After reading the great comments about instantcert I'm willing to give it a shot. I really think the REA books are good as well. Wish me luck!

Instantcert hit the nail on the coffin. I would say that 95% of the question which the flash cards go over were on the test. I scored 56 only after craming the day before the test.
