Hey, guys. Do you happen to know if the following courses duplicate at Excelsior College? I have already taken the lower-level courses, but I'd love to get additional upper-level credits by taking the other two courses.
History 106: The Civil War and Reconstruction
History 306: The American Civil War Era
History 108: History of the Vietnam War
History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War
Thanks for the help!

History 106: The Civil War and Reconstruction >> HIS-252
History 306: The American Civil War Era >> HIS-235
History 108: History of the Vietnam War >> HIS-246 or HIS-351
History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War >> HIS-351
Thanks for the help!
The Transfer guide on Study.com's website shows that the Civil War courses are not duplicates, but the Vietnam war ones are. BUT, I read on here at one point that the HIS 108 course was downgraded to HIS-246 while the HIS 308 stayed the same, so they are not duplicates.
If you need Vietnam as an UL course and you're not certain about which one to take, I would contact TESU or Study.com directly to ask.

Your only option is to get in contact with Excelsior and Study.com
There's nothing on the study.com transfer tab for Excelsior
Study.com Course Code & Name Excelsior College Course Code & Name Credits

Sorry, I did not read carefully. We have no idea what things come in to Excelsior as. You need to contact them directly. But here's where the courses come in on ACE:
History 106: The Civil War and Reconstruction - LL
History 306: The American Civil War Era - UL
History 108: History of the Vietnam War - LL
History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War - LL
Study.com did just say on another thread that they are working to get changes to some of their courses. I would imagine that they are trying to get all of the courses they list as 300-level to be UL per ACE.

Ah, dangit. You're right, dfrecore. I must have missed that when I checked ACE for upper-level courses. Both of those Vietnam courses are lower-level in ACE. Crud! Well, I guess I'll at least knock out that Civil War course for upper-level credit, assuming EC transfers it as such. (I'm still waiting to hear back from Excelsior about how these will transfer.) Thanks for pointing that out to me! Back to the spreadsheet I go...

Since you already have Study.com membership, you could use the Vietnam courses to study for the Vietnam DSST exam, which IS UL through ACE.
The Soviet Union DSST is UL as well, as is the Civil War DSST.

Update: Excelsior College will give credit for BOTH of the Civil War courses on Study.com - one for lower-level credit & one for upper-level credit. Since both Vietnam War courses are listed as lower-level in ACE, I didn't bother to ask about those. Hope that helps!
