It appears to be past the deadline for this fall, but the Harvard University Extension Poetry in America classes still cost only $250 for educators:

What do they consider an educator? I didn't see that anywhere.

I wonder if homeschool parent counts as an educator in this case?

If you're in a state that issues some kind of official documentation (not a Barnes and Nobles Teacher Card, but an actual state-issued homeschool id) then I would say it's worth a shot!
