HELP BSBA in International Business TESC
#1
I am going a little crazy trying to put my degree plan together for international business BSBA. I have searched this thread and google for days, with no luck. I understand the area of study classes I will have to take locally, I am okay with this, this field is very important to me. sanantone, another forum member, advised me that I had world religions listed twice. (in humanities and general ed) I am taking it out of Humanities for no particular reason, so I will need to replace it. I was also told that here is to your health can not be used for general education, so they thought, any insight on this? I also highlighted the TESC courses, if anyone can recommend other avenues, potentially straighterline test?

Can anyone help with filling in options for Business Electives? I am considering doing the FEMA courses for free electives.

As well, if anyone is familiar with classes for area of studies, please feel free to post.

Once I get this degree plan locked up I will post the final version for everyone else to have.

I'm not sure about the Business Electives for this particular degree, but I would suggest taking Strategic Business Management from Penn Foster instead of Business Policy at TESC. It's cheaper and faster. PF costs about $280, including the textbook.

Sanatone provided very detailed feedback about the specific BSBA requirements, in this post.

You can browse through several humanities options on the TESC degree plans wikia (here). Honestly, I'm not familiar enough with the humanities requirements and Here's to Your Health test to provide valuable feedback.

With that said, I noticed a mistake in your updated degree plan.
• ACC150 should be Straighterline ACC102 Accounting II. ACC150 transcribes to TESC as ACC 303 Cost Accounting while ACC102 transcribes as ACC 102 Principles of Managerial Accounting.

Also, each of the requirements in red (Managerial or Business Communications, Natural Sciences and Mathmatics, Business Policy) can be met by test (straigtherline, ALEKS, TECEP, respectively).

My advice is to complete the courses/tests you know you need. This will narrow down your alternatives and nothing is a better motivator than progress. One of the many advantages of credit by examination is the ability to focus on one subject at a time. It's great that you want to have a solid degree plan but sometimes you just have to go for it!
ALEKS: College Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, Pre-Calculus
CLEP: American Government, American History I, Principles of Marketing
DSST: Business Ethics and Society, Civil War and Reconstruction, History of the Vietnam War, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, Money & Banking, Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union
Straighterline: Accounting I, Accounting II, Business Communications, Business Ethics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Managerial Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management

Thank you, I will make note of this.
